Cook, eat, relax

Even the most discerning chef in your group will find everything they need in this incredibly well-stocked kitchen. There’s a dresser full of table ware for gatherings up to 8, the dining table is a perfect place for a celebratory lunch or reunion dinner.

Choose from one of the two luxury living rooms adorned with fabulous art and beautiful fireplaces. Each with comfy sofas, smart TVs and stoves for warmth and cosiness. Both perfect to slope off to with a good book or to gather round watching your favourite film.

Sleep, soak

Upstairs, the 4 immaculate bedrooms can sleep 8 adults + 2 cots and provide ultimate comfort for a great nights’ sleep. Hotel quality linen, exceptional quality mattresses and black out blinds ensure a restful night for everyone. There are 2 glorious king rooms (one boasts an en-suite walk-in shower room), 1 double room and 1 twin room. There is a family bathroom on this floor with free-standing bath for long soaks and a separate shower. Additionally, there is another bathroom downstairs with a rainfall shower.

Enjoy

St Maur Cottage has something for everyone to enjoy from babes in arms to grandparents. Connect your phone to a Sonos speaker and play your music whilst enjoying a glass of wine in the ‘disco’ zone of the dining room. Or better still, ask the pianist in your group to play a piece on the Clavinova.

Table football tournaments will keep kids and big kids alike happy whilst the little ones will be delighted with their very own giant chalk board wall they can scribble away on.

We know how unpredictable the Devon weather can be so there’s plenty to do in the house on rainy days; 100s of books, many board games, 2 large smart TVs, Nintendo Switch, table football and plenty of space to spread out. The secret bookcase door is sure to be a talking point.

Garden

Outside, children will love running around and playing on the lawn. You can sip a coffee on the veranda in the morning sun listening to the many birds which love the garden.

The alfresco dining area is on a raised deck, allowing you to catch the last of the evening sun for those dreamy long summer lunches or BBQs. Your children will not be bored as they can choose to play table tennis, swing ball, or giant draughts.

There is parking for 2 cars along the side of the property; however, it is quite a narrow space to get cars in and out so if you are cautious driver or you have a car wider than an average estate car then you will need to use the long-stay car park only 200m away (c. £6/24hrs).
